31st NATIONAL CONFERENCE July 18 - 20, 2008 • SHERATON MUSIC CITY HOTEL, NASHVILLE, TN Theme: “Volunteers for Healing Friends for the Future” 7" vinyl records with a picture of each of our children Nashville, Tennessee, known as the home of country music, will be the host city for our 31st National Conference. The conference committee selected the theme,

VOLUNTEERS FOR HEALING – FRIENDS FOR THE FUTURE,

a name that is very appropriate as TCF national conferences are always regarded as great healing experiences and a great place to find friends for life.

The 2008 conference will have special guest speakers and entertainers, approximately 100 workshops covering most aspects of grief following the death of a child and many additional activities including the ninth-annual two-mile Walk to Remember at 8:00 am on Sunday, July 20.

A pre-conference day for professionals will be Thursday, July 17. Among the keynote speakers will be Joe and Iris Lawley, founding parents of The Compassionate Friends, who will fly all the way from England for what may be one of their final TCF speaking engagements outside of their home country. Simon Stephens, founder of The Compassionate Friends, who was a keynote speaker at the 2007 National Conference in Oklahoma will also be a keynote speaker at Nashville.

We are to send our child’s picture along with $10.00. The 7" vinyl records will decorate the registration area and the reflection & hospitality rooms. A pre-conference professional program will be presented Thursday, July 17. For most up-to-date and registration forms, visit The Compassionate Friends website at www.compassionatefriends.org or call our Office # 412-835-1105
